Stockholm: Nordic Ice Skating at Night with chance of Northern Lights, a Song of ice and Fire

Nordic Ice Skating at night could truly be called a Song of Ice and Fire. Embrace the Swedish winter night. Skate on a frozen lake, and the firelit torches show you the way. Awe at the moon- and star light on a clear day, and if we are lucky we can even see the Northern Lights! Your guide ensures the safety of the ice, so you can enjoy the track at your own pace. Warm your hands at the fire with a hot drink and enjoy the cozyness of winter!

Stockholm Nordic Ice Skating: what to expect?

We try to catch the magic of the Swedish Winters to its fullest: Nordic Skating on a frozen lake, enjoying the cozyness of a fire and fire-lit torches, and the lights cast upon us by the moon, the stars and the magical phenomen of Auroris Borealis. We will most likely find our selves alone in the ice. On this tour, you will get more time to yourself compared to our Nordic Skating Day Trip. We skate on a plowed track following the torches, meaning you don’t have to stick together as a group. You can take as many (or as few!) laps as you wish. If you are mostly excited about the skating, we recommend that you look at our Ice Skating Day Trip instead, where we chase black ice and the magic of Skating. It is possible to combine both tours, actually we recommend it to get the most out of the different experiences!

”I stumbled across the Green Trials before our trip to Stockholm, and boy am I glad we did! Coming from London, ice skating like this is so unheard of. Our guide Pierre was so nice. Very welcoming, accommodating, and really listened to us. Thank you for creating such a great memory of our time in Stockholm, recommend to anyone!”

”My friends and I had a blast on the Nordic Ice Skating adventure with our tour guide Pieter! He was fantastic and we learned a lot about skating and the beautiful surrounding lake and scenery. This experience was the highlight of our trip – we greatly recommend it! Being able to skate on a frozen lake in nature is pure magic!”

”I would highly recommend the Green Trails and their skating tour if you are looking for a unique Swedish experience. If you love being off the beaten track and are willing to go with the flow, you’ll be in good hands with Pieter and Pierre.”

”This has been the highlight of our trip. I would do the tour again and recommend it to all of you who are interested in nature and those who would like to do a “not so typical” tourist experience. Pieter and Pierre shared their expertise with us and made the trip feel like as if we were having an adventure with friends – not the typical guide. Thanks for the unique experience and keep on the good work!”
